We are a husband and wife team dedicated to the preservation of the working DOGO ARGENTINO who are closely connected with other breeders and hunters in our area with the same goal

Del Trueno Kennels is strongly against ANY illegal use or abuse of any dog. We do not promote, support or raise dogs for fighting and will not knowingly buy,
sell or stud any dog or pup that may be used in this manner.As responsible owners and breeders, we are taking every possible measure to ensure the life long health of our Dogo's and their pups. No dog will knowingly be bred
with physical or mental defects.
- HEALTH: Our dogs remain on heartworm preventative year round and have regular physical exams to detect any potential problems.We also test for hip dysplasia
and results will be at hand for potential owners to see and verify.
- Our puppies are carefully examined by our family vet, vaccinated and de-wormed, microchipped and Baer tested with results readily available upon request.
- BREEDING: Our Studs and Bitches have been selectively chosen with an emphasis put on true Dogo temperament, health and conformation, hunting ability and high intelligence.
We will plan only one or two highly select breedings each year.
- TEMPERAMENT: Protection is one of the traits the Dogo Argentino needs no training for. Del Trueno Kennels does not claim protection as an attribute to the breed for this reason. They are naturally
loyal and protective of their families and owners. With improper training they, like any other breed of dog can become monsters and see all humans as a threat. The Dogo Argentinos' original purpose is to
work closely with their human counterparts. Unprovoked aggression is an anomaly of the breed and should not be tolerated.
Anyone who would choose to train their dog in Personal Protection, French Ring, Schutzhund or any of these like disciplines should speak to those who have accomplished it successfully. If you are
interested please let us know and we will gladly put you in contact with Dogo owner/trainers who have successful experience in these areas.
- PEDIGREES AND REGISTRATIONS: ALL puppies are registered and sold with papers! We do not crossbreed and we do not sell unregistered dogs.
We DO NOT sell adult dogs as they are part of our family.
We strongly recommend contacting us to verify the availability of puppies. If we can not provide you with the puppy you are looking for, we will gladly help you find a responsible breeder who may be able to help you.
